The official name for this waver is "Alure Three Barrel Curling Iron Wand with LCD Temperature Display - 1 Inch Ceramic Tourmaline Triple Barrels, Dual Voltage Crimping Tool, Best Hair Waver for Beachy/Frizz Free Waves (Pink)". This was a bit long for me to use as a tag line, so I call it a Hair Wave, because that is what it is. This is not a curling iron, but rather a waving iron, that adds subtle waves to straight and/or fine hair.

This waver creates perfect 'beach waves' and can add some texture and body to flat hair. It works very simply - plug in and use.

A temperature display really is ideal for insuring you do not damage your hair! This waver shows the temperature in Celsius, which is interesting for me, as I am used to Fahrenheit; but it's nothing I can't Google, haha. Recommendations from the company state that temperature should be set for 170-210 degrees C, with the lower temps for those with thinner or finer hair and higher temps for course and hard to curl hair.

The waver is very simple to use, simple place hair in between the barrels, and allow the waver to heat your hair until it waves. It takes just a few seconds, then you can open the waver and keep waving. I do recommend a hair spray in order for the waves to stay longer than a couple hours, especially in hot and/or damp weather.

And now for some before and after photos!

Above is to show how the actual wave looks compared to completely straight hair. Below is an example of using the waver on real hair extentions, in various ways --holding the waver sideways, and even upside down (example on the left).

Great product for a fair price, this Alure waver wins hands down!

It's almost seed time!

Missouri weather can be fickle this time of year; and "fickle" is putting it mildly. Just this week alone, we had ice and sleet on Sunday, then 70 degrees on Wednesday and we are back to snow and 40 degrees today (Saturday). Soooo...starting seeds indoors and moving to a greenhouse will yield a nice early, and hopefully long lasting and long producing plants.

Preferences vary, but most Missourians will start seeds inside at the beginning of March and into April. The Old Farmers Almanac is a good resource for specific dates for starting various seeds - find the Missouri section HERE, and everyone else can look up their info by state HERE

Last years garden produced very well, we had tons of tomato and buckets of peppers. I hope to improve production of green beans and cucumbers, though - last year they didn't do as good as they should have. The brussels sprouts were a waste of space, in my opinion. We waited until after the second frost, hoping they would get bigger - but they never grew larger than a nickle around.

I don't normally plant seeds for the vegetable portion of my gardens, aside from minor things. I intend to plant everything by seeds first, so this will be an adventure.

My garden photos are from June of last year.

Review- Natrogix Essential Oil - Lavender!

Lavender Essential Oil by Natrogix

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075DBJ35T

Essential oils are very popular, and have been used in my house for years. Typically I have had to buy bottles from large stores or specialty markets online; but now they are much easier to find on Amazon, and even Wal-Mart.
Just as there are thousands of essential oil varieties, there are just as many (if not more) uses for these oils. Household cleaning and cooking are the most common in my world, and more recently - used in my essential oil diffusers constantly.

I got to give the Lavender essentail oil from Natrogix a try, and was impressed at the quality of this oil. Some oils are not very strong and the scent will fade quickly in a diffuser- rendering it useless very fast. But, this oil from Natrogix is nice and strong enough to add a gentle scent to the entire room.

Natrogix boasts being 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade, which is optimal for using on skin, and in foods. A high quality essential oil will pass the "paper test", also known as the blot test. This means a drop of the oil on a plain white piece of paper, that evaporates completely - leaving no trace behind - is 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oil. I will be doing these tests on various oils in an upcoming post - stay tuned!
