"True Blue" skirt..& Meet Tyra

This skirt is still in project-mode, everything is just pinned at this point. I really like this one, as it's base is an elastic waisted gray skirt. Yay, for elastic!

Tyra is my dress form. My model...my muse. Ok, maybe not my muse, since she doesn't have a head, or talk, or breathe. But, that doesn't make her a bad person. I got her at a yard sale last year. She came in the original box, with original paperwork dated from the late 70's. E-gads! Cost: $8 -- HUZZAH!!!!

Safari ...something....Up-cycled skirt coming to Etsy, soon.

A very very soft pair of corduroy pants...in a nice shade of taupe. Nice animal print with a coordinating brown fabric. I'll be adding some eyelet lace...maybe more, not sure. This skirt will be ruffled layers...coming from below the hem of the former pants (cut just under the zipper).

I'm excited to see what this one looks like...I might not even like it. Well, ok of course I will !

Spring Fling - Tattered Skirt...Coming Soon to Etsy

The photo above is just a sample of the palette of materials I'm working with. There will be more to the final product.

Ahh a lovely recycled/up-cycled skirt...the colors are a lime green stretch, a pale yellow/green cotton, and a striped butterfly embroidered blues and greens cotton. I'll be adding various embellishments, including the flower cut-out lace trim shown in the photo.

I call it Spring Fling based on my color choices and the butterfly motif. Cute right? I know. :P I'll show it off when it's done (and of course it'll be listed on Etsy).

Spring Inspired Bottle Cap Images

My newest Bottle Cap Images, for spring. I'll be listing these on eBay soon, if they print the way I want them to. Gotta have good quality prints - or else the end product looks like poo!
The cupcake itself was super easy to make, once I figured out how to make the icing look fluffy.

(photos removed, email for info)

About me

I don't like doing the stereotypical "about me" post, but it must be done. If I don't you'll all think I'm a supermodel living in Paris. E-gads! We wouldn't want that!
I'm a stay at home mom of 3, two girls and a boy. My kids are all in school these days, so I have way too much time on my hands.
I started an online business over a year ago on eBay selling bottle cap images that I create myself. I've been making digital graphics for almost 10 years, so making bottle cap images was a great way for me to use up some of my creative powers and make some well needed extra money.

My website for tips & tricks:(CLOSED)

Now I'm looking for new creative outlets. I enjoy several crafty-type activities, so I have a long list of things to make, and in turn list on Etsy. I have sold on Etsy before, but for a very short amount of time. I think it was for only 2 months, and I realized I couldn't keep up with both eBay & Etsy  and a part time job, and my kids, and housework...and and and. Well, the job is gone, my kids are old enough to entertain themselves, and I'm very good at multitasking...soooooo...here goes!

I'll be posting all sorts of things in the blog, from my creations, to my random thoughts, to links to things I love.  So, beware...I have no plan. Meh, plans are overrated anyway.

In the beginning....

Well, my very first blog...and my very first blog post. Hooray. There will be a national holiday to commemorate this glorious event, no doubt!
So, why did I start this blog? I have no idea. Everyone else is doing it. LOL! That's pretty much true, though. I plan to start selling on Etsy (and maybe someday break away from FeeBay)...and it would seem everyone on Etsy has a blog. Pretty much everyone on the planet has a blog anyway, I'm just now catching up.

I shall rant on and on about something later, for now I must redecorate this blog and make it pretty.
