Sunless Tanning Mist - Product Review

Sunless Tanning Mist - Product Review

Hey everyone! Well, it's been a long while since I have gotten to do a full blog review for anything- but here I am! I've got several small product blips on Facebook and Instagram, but this is the first one since Covid jumped into our lives.

This product is something many people use throughout the year, but with winter nipping at our heals and the beaches and local pools being limited - we need a bit of sun however we can get it!

This Sunless Tanning Mist from Pureauty Naturals is available at Walmart. It boasts about being easy to apply, and fast drying...and claims to be a 'natural tone enhancer'. These things sound lovely, but...how real is this fake tan?? So, I tried it and talked my daughter into trying it too.

First thing I noticed is the spray nozzle. A fine mist is very essential for me, I want this to be the most simple process ever. A few years back I would use a tanning spray only to have it running down my legs and dripping all over the floor, leaving large dark spots on my skin because the spray nozzle had not been high enough quality to give a fine mist. This nozzle IS in fact, a fine mist nozzle. Yay!

So, we tried it. I did my right leg and my daughter did her left leg...just to be different. Heh. The product comes out in a very fine mist, and the directions state simply how to use it - spray about 12 inches from skin, allow to dry. I liked the smell, although it is a bit strong. The product took about 10-15 minutes to dry.

Above you can see the results after the first application. We allowed it to 'develop' for 3 hours. Since it didn't really change our skin by much...we applied it again (as the directions suggested). We did a second application the next day....

The above pictures are after 2 application on day two, and 3 hours after it dried.

Overall, this product does exactly what it promises. The color/darkness will vary based on your skin tone (as you can see in our pictures), and the number of times you apply. I was very happy with the results. Best of all - no need to use my hands to rub the product around to prevent streaks!!

My tip...make sure you apply a thin, even layer each time. You can always do another application, but adding too much product will make it build up on your skin and drip (just like spray paint would).

I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review.

Lip Monthly Bag - Unboxing & Review

Hey everyone! Today I bring you another subscription mystery box, or bag in this case. It's the Lip Monthly Bag for January, maybe? But there are items from last August (per their Instagram and website "past bags").

Sooo, I dunno. My account says I am not getting another one until March? Honestly, I dunno, haha. Let's just get to the revealing, eh?

Also, all prices are from what I found online, from the websites of the products' company, not from lipmonthly.com - as they do not have prices on the card inside the bag or on their website.

So. It comes in a bright pink bubble mailer. Super cute, fit in my mailbox too!

Inside the bag, is the little bag. It's about 3 inches by 5 inches and some sort of canvas - it's pretty sturdy, so it's good for throwing into a purse or gym bag. Hi5!

The first item I pulled outta that little bag is a lipstick from MODEL CO, in the shade "tango pink". This is a nice matte pink color. I could not find anything about this lipstick on the MODEL CO webpage, so I assume this is a discontinued product. The brand is also sold at Walmart, so I can't even guess at the price.

It's a flat matte color, very nice. Looks well made...so it's all good to me.

Next is this gloss from DOOP in the shade "Peak". This is a somewhat shimmery pink/coral gloss. Very nice, 'cause I love simmer. This looks to be a new brand, as their website is copywritten for 2020, and all items say "coming soon". Never tested on animals, so that's a huge bonus. Love this gloss...even if I can't find a price for it either...haha.

The next TWO items (in the pic above) are a clear lip oil and a lip liner.

The Lip Oil is from LUNA by LUNA, and its in the shade "Cosmo". It's a fairly thick oil, and goes on smooth. I don't notice a color tint, but its very glossy (haha, probably 'cause it's an oil". I did find a price for this one on their website: $18. Score.

The lip liner is a pencil liner, which is in the shade "Poptart" is from KAB Cosmetics. It's a lovely coral shade. The KAB website does not have this specific shade sold alone, but it a large kit set. Similar pencils sell for $12.

Ok so. Four items and a lil' bag. Retail estimated around $30-$40? It's a good deal, honestly. Regular price for this bag option: $12.95/mo. (cancel anytime).

They also have a referral program, YOU get $5 off a bag with this link: CLICK THIS!

Overall, I do like this bag. I dunno if I will continue to get it for a long time, but maybe a few months. I would want to make sure I am getting different items every month, and that they aren't just sending out discontinued items they have bought from overstock sales. Even if they are, I don't mind too much...haha. I do love a good shimmery lip gloss!!!

Product Review: Joyal Beauty Age Defy Serum

Product Review: Joyal Beauty Age Defy Serum

This product is a liquid serum from Joyal Beauty.
It is 72% organic, containing aloe and witch hazel- this serum can fade dark spots such as freckles adn scars. It also promotes the reduction of further sun damage with the vitatmins and antioxidants from the botanical extracts.

Directions state to apply a small amount every night before bed, and then moisturize. It is also recommended to apply a sunscreen on top, to protect from sun damage.
The serum itself is clear, and fairly liquidy - so it doesn't take much to apply to your face. A thin layer can be applied within a minute and will dry quickly. This bottle is 1 fluid ounce, so it could last for a long time. It smells fresh and clean, too!
