Product Review: Zest Paws Anti-Itch SHAMPOO for pets!

Product Review:
Zest Paws Oatmeal Anti-Itch Shampoo
(for pets)

Hey everyone! Last week I did a review for Zesty Paws' Oatmeal Anti-Itch CONDITIONER, this time we tried the SHAMPOO.

Similar to the conditioner, the shampoo has a sweet oatmeal scent. This shampoo is clear, but not too thin (yay, for high quality!).  It bubbles up nicely and makes a great lather with a small amount, and rinses off very easily.

My dog doesn't care for baths, but she tolerated this very well. I think the calming sweet scent helped. After her bath, her fur was soft and it did a great job at cleaning without leaving much of that sweet smell behind.
I DID notice she wasn't scratching as much as she had been, this could also be due to being clean--but her skin is very sensitive, so I do feel the shampoo did it's job.

Great shampoo, great quality...I do recommend this for dogs AND cats. Though I haven't tried it on MY cat, yet.

With the summer heat, and the bugs that plague the entire outdoors - our dog has managed to rub the fur off her backside trying to scratch the inevitable itch. So, I am always on the look-out for anything that will give her a bit of relief from the "skritches".

This conditioner is from Zesty Paws, not only helps soothe the itchy skin that many pets feel at various times during the year, but it also smells fantastic. Ingredients include aloe, oatmeal and shea butter - all of which are fantastic for soothing, moisturizing and healing irritated skin.

The conditioner is thick, as you can see in the picture below - this product is not watery and therefor it's high quality and a little amount goes a long way.

The results are great, leaving my dogs' fur soft and smelling like sweet oatmeal. Her skin seems to be softer as well, and she didn't try to scratch herself at all after her bath!

One more side note:  This product is specifically made for PETS. Although, my daughter loves the smell so much - she wants to use it on her hair.

Product Review : Zesty Paws Joint Support

Product Review

Zesty Paws Join Support - Mobility Enhancing Formula.

Item Link: HERE

My dog, Lyla is only 2 years old...but she has some hip issues, she whimpers at times when she jumps up onto the sofa. There are times when she doesn't feel like running or being a playful pup. This supplement is made for pets that have had an injury in the past or like my Lyla- any pet who may have a genetic disposition to joint issues.

This supplement from Zesty Paws is specifically formulated to help improve pets mobility. The webpage says these chewables "are all-natural chews made with glucosamine chondroitin for joint mobility and a host of other wholesome nourishing ingredients including vitamin E and flaxseed meal" (ZestyPaws, 2017).

Pros:
  • They have a duck flavored 'coating' on them, so my dog was sniffing these things like she wanted to eat them whole.
  • Chewable means crushable, so they can be easily smashed up and added to foods.
  • For both dogs AND cats, so you only have one bottle for both pets. No worries of mixing up the wrong supplements for the wrong animal.
  • Also promotes heart health.
Cons:
  • These are a bit large for MY dog, and much too large for a cat. HOWEVER~ your dog may gobble them up whole, and/or they can be broken smaller or crushed. I smashed them up into canned food, they ate it with no problems at all.

Overall, these are fantastic. I really like that the chewables have a flavor to them, since a lot of animals will "pick out" the foreign ingredient in wet foods (which is how I always sneak pills and medicines, it works on kids too...haha). The duck flavor makes my pets want to eat them, and not leave them in the bowl.

I have been giving these to my dog for only 3 days, so I can not judge how well they work on a long term basis...but I admit I DO notice she is happy to jump around when she usually doesn't.

Try them out and see!
